Our client, the owner of a newly built house in Singapore, approached us with the goal of furnishing their entire home with beautiful, long-lasting teak furniture. They wanted a cohesive aesthetic that would flow through every room, creating a sense of warmth and timeless elegance.

The key requirement was to achieve a premium, solid wood look that also aligned with their project budget. This required a smart approach to material selection without sacrificing the quality and durability needed for everyday family life.

The project scope was extensive, including:

• Bedroom Furniture: A 3-door wardrobe, a 2-door wardrobe, a king-size bed, a queen-size bed, a dressing table, bedside tables, and a chest of drawers.
• Living Room Furniture: A reading armchair, a bookcase, a console table, and display cabinets.
• Dining Room Furniture: A round dining table with chairs and a matching sideboard.

Our Solution: The Smart Choice of Grade B Teak

To meet the client’s goals, our solution was centered on strategic material selection and our signature manufacturing quality.

• Material Specification: We recommended the use of Grade B Indonesian Teak for the entire collection. As we detail in our Teak Grading Guide, Grade B timber is sourced from the heartwood of mature logs, offering excellent durability, strength, and a beautiful, consistent grain. This choice allowed the client to get all the benefits and aesthetic beauty of solid heartwood teak while remaining comfortably within their budget.
• Manufacturing Process: Every piece was built to order in our Jepara facility. Our craftsmen used traditional joinery techniques, such as mortise and tenon joints for the bed frames and tables, and dovetail joints for all the drawers in the chests and sideboards. This commitment to superior construction ensures that every single piece is not just beautiful, but built to withstand decades of daily use.
• Cohesive Finishing: To ensure a harmonious look across all 11 pieces, the entire collection was finished in the same batch of semi-gloss lacquer, which brings out the warm, golden-brown tones of the teak and provides a durable, easy-to-clean surface.
