The Brief: A Standard of Luxury and Durability

The Empire Brunei, one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic and luxurious hotels, required a new set of living room furniture for one of its lobby spaces. The project demanded pieces that not only matched the hotel’s prestigious aesthetic but were also engineered to withstand the rigors of a high-traffic commercial environment. The client needed a cohesive collection—including a coffee table, side table, and armchairs—that was both exceptionally durable and visually elegant.

Our Solution: A Focus on Engineering and Material Integrity

Our process began with a collaborative design phase, interpreting the client’s aesthetic requirements and translating them into production-ready technical plans. Given the high-use application, our primary focus was on structural integrity and the selection of superior materials.

  • Material Selection: We specified Grade A kiln-dried teak for the entire collection. Its high density and natural resistance to wear make it the ideal choice for hospitality furniture that must endure constant use. The table surfaces feature inlaid glass, adding a level of sophistication and ease of maintenance.
  • Manufacturing for Commercial Use: Each piece was constructed in our Jepara facility with an emphasis on robust joinery. We utilized reinforced mortise and tenon joints to ensure that every frame—from the armchairs to the table legs—was incredibly strong and stable, guaranteeing a long service life even in a busy lobby setting.
  • Finishing: A premium, high-durability Nitrocellulose was applied to protect the wood from scuffs and spills, while also providing a rich, warm sheen that complements the luxurious interiors of the hotel.

The Result: World-Class Craftsmanship for a World-Class Client

We successfully manufactured and delivered a complete set of lobby furniture that met the exacting standards of The Empire Brunei. This project highlights our capability to produce commercial-grade, bespoke furniture for the high-end hospitality sector. The final pieces are a testament to our commitment to quality, durability, and the fine art of Indonesian furniture manufacturing.
